Playing with light (and some exp. plus-x)

Playing with light (and some exp. plus-x)
Expired Plus-X Pan Pro dev. 13 min. in D-76 1:3 (5 agit. every 30 sec) @ 20º. Shot with Nikon FE and Nikkor 75-200mm 3.5 manual focus lens. Softbox to the right, spot fld top left. Scanned with Epson Perfection V500 Photo scanner.

I could never be a professional portrait photographer – I’d be driven mad. To save myself from the madness of trying to get my kids to stay still for 1/125 sec., I resorted picking up an androgynous mannequin head from the flea market – he/she gave me no problems – just a little creepy.

Mongolia Expedition 2011

Mongolia Expedition 2011
This was taken at the Bayasgalant daycare centre in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. We were doing some project work there such as plastering and repainting the walls, laying down new linoleum on the floors as well as building a shelter for the children in their play area. It was so much fun to be a part of, and I think this picture nicely sums up that phase of our expedition: hot weather and camping!
